Our Mission
At Renewed by Faith, the heart of our ministry is to provide a safe and welcoming place to heal, grow, and embrace God's purposes for your life. Christian counseling is a journey of self-discovery, understanding, acceptance, healing, and growth. If you are struggling with difficult emotions, challenging relationships, grief, anxiety, the effects of difficult or traumatic experiences, or spiritual struggles that keep you from experiencing greater joy and peace, we're here to offer compassion, encouragement, support, and hope.

Our Approach
Renewed by Faith provides Christian counseling and ministerial support grounded in biblical truth, prayer, spiritual growth, and personal development. Our approach is holistic and individualized, recognizing that emotional, relational, physical, mental, and spiritual well-being can all influence a person's overall sense of wellness. We incorporate evidence-informed psychological and coaching principles, along with practical tools tailored to each individual's unique needs, goals, and circumstances.
Our counseling integrates biblical guidance with established concepts from areas such as cognitive and behavioral approaches, mindset development, emotional intelligence, and life coaching. Through this holistic approach, we consider the whole person while inviting the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the transforming truth of God's Word.

When an individual's needs extend beyond the scope of Christian counseling and ministry services, we may recommend consultation with or referral to an appropriately licensed mental-health or healthcare professional.
Meet Your Counselor
Dr. Melissa Turner, DTh, is an ordained Christian minister, Christian counselor, Master Certified Life Coach, and certified parent educator dedicated to helping individuals experience healing, hope, and lasting transformation through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Through Renewed by Faith, she provides a compassionate, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where individuals can navigate life's challenges, gain greater understanding of themselves, and discover the truth, peace, and restoration found in God's Word.
Dr. Turner believes that Christian counseling is both a calling and a ministry. Her approach integrates biblical truth with sound psychological principles, guided by the Holy Spirit and supported by practical, evidence-informed tools that encourage emotional healing, personal growth, renewed thinking, and spiritual maturity. Her desire is to meet each person where they are while helping them move toward the wholeness and freedom God intends for their lives.
Dr. Turner holds a Doctorate of Theology (DTh) with an emphasis in Christian Counseling and a Master of Theology with an emphasis in Leadership from Summit Bible College. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Central Michigan University and is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). She also holds Master Certification in Mindset Life Coaching and has advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Emotional Intelligence, Confidence Coaching, Parenting Education, and Grief Coaching.
As an ordained minister, Dr. Turner views counseling through a distinctly Christian and ministerial lens. She believes that lasting transformation begins with the renewal of the mind and the restoration of our identity in Christ. Her passion is to walk alongside individuals as they grow in emotional wholeness and spiritual maturity, helping them recognize their God-given identity, overcome limiting patterns, and move forward with hope, resilience, confidence, and purpose in Christ.
